What do you see when you look at me?
A girl who is now sixteen?
Or do you see something more?
Am I something more than you could hope for?

What do you see when you look at me?
What do I look like to those I pass by on the street?
Am I a disappointment even though I do my best in what I do?
Or am I someone to look up to?

When you look at me, what do you see?
I know I'm forgetful, simple-minded, and naive,
But that doesn't mean that I don't have my moments,
Moments that I can look back on and not want to repent.

When you look at me, what do you see?
Something more than a girl of sixteen?
Am I pretty, am I kind?
If I act stupidly, would you mind?

What do I see when I look at me?
I see a girl discovering the world, a girl who is naive.
She looks just like me, acts just like me, she talks and sings like me,
And loves her friends and family.

What I see is a kind and pretty girl
Who is sometimes lonely in this world,
But she brushes it off and stands
So she can help family and friends.
